Marry me on the Mountain | Mountain Top Elopement in Hinton
As most of you know I grew up in Hinton, Alberta and I still love to head back there for weddings when I can. It is a small town just outside of Jasper and has some amazing mountain views, beautiful thick forests and incredible mountain fed lakes. It is really a beautiful little town and a great spot for a wedding.
A fun little fact. The past 2 years in a row I have shot weddings on Canada Day and both times the Bride’s name was Caitlin. Just sayin’ if you know a Caitlin getting married on Canada Day in 2016 I should probably be her photographer! I’d hate to break tradition! 😛
Caitlin & Ken wanted an elopement and something unique. They planned a wedding with the most amazing view for just them, their 4 guests and us, their photographers! I knew this wedding day would be super special as Caitlin had been so kind over emails and really wanted it to be an intimate day. We agreed that having their July ceremony at 9:30pm would be perfect because that was when the sun was due to be set. These two really won the light and weather lottery. They had everything from warm colored sunrays while they were getting ready, big sky dynamic clouds for their ceremony start, an incredible coral and purple sunset, a the perfect amount of rain to dance in and even a rainbow to top it all off. Caitlin and Ken had their wedding bands created using a photo of the mountain range you could see from the location. Such a cool idea!
Thank you so much for including me in your special day and I wish you two all the best in your new marriage.
